Wendy has more than 36 years of experience in the financial services
industry. In addition to her applicable securities registrations and
insurance licenses, Wendy holds the professional designations of
Accredited Asset Management Specialist and Accredited Wealth Management
Advisor. Her areas of focus include investment and retirement planning,
insurance and tax-efficient investing.
Wendy works directly with her clients to help ensure that they understand
their investments. She assists them in developing personalized plans to
help them reach their financial goals.
Building on 13 years of experience with Wells Fargo Advisors, Wendy
opened Buchanan Wealth Management of Trinity Capital Management with
the services, resources and support of Wells Fargo Advisors Financial
Network. Recognized in a select group of Financial Advisors
within Wells Fargo Advisors, Wendy earned the Platinum
Council distinction from 2008-2024. The Platinum Council
(previously known as Premier Advisor) distinction is held by a
select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors
Financial Network as measured by completion of educational
components, business production based on the past year, and

Wendy and her high school sweetheart, Mike, have
celebrated more than 38 years of marriage. Together they
are members of First Baptist Church of Nacogdoches and
are very active members in the community. Wendy serves
on the Stephen F. Austin State University Foundation
Board of Trustees and on the United Way board. She
served as past president of the Kiwanis Club and the
NHS Alumni Association Board and is past Chairman of
the Finance Committee for the SFA Alumni Association

Daniel spent eight years with Texas Farm Bureau before joining Wells Fargo Advisors in 2015 and transitioning to Buchanan Wealth Management in 2021.  He started as a Client Associate, became a Financial Consultant, holding the Series 7 and 66 registrations, was quickly promoted within the practice and is now a Financial Advisor and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor with Buchanan Wealth Management.  He works to provide clients with the highest level of financial and insurance services.

Daniel is from Alabama and moved to Nacogdoches in 1999.  He and his wife Shanon have been married for 12 years.  They have four sons between them.  Tucker graduated from SFA with his Master’s Degree in accounting.  Mason is a senior at SFA Studying Computer Programming.  Caden just started at Texas A&M and plans to become a Physical Therapist.  Turner is working and studying to become a Master Electrician.

Daniel is very active in his church and in the community.  He volunteers with United Way throughout the year, culminating with the Nine Flags Christmas parade each year.

Daniel's experience also includes many years coaching local youth basketball, baseball and soccer.  He previously served on the board for the Nacogdoches Youth Baseball Association and Blue Devils Basketball.  In his spare time, Daniel enjoys hunting and fishing with his family and traveling with his wife.

Brenda began working with Wendy Buchanan when she and her late husband moved to Nacogdoches in 2007.  She joined Wells Fargo Advisors along with Wendy in 2008 and after 13 years, transitioned with the team to Buchanan Wealth Management.  She has over 19 years of financial services industry specific experience.  In 2014 she was named as an Officer, Assistant Vice President.  She manages all phases of account processing and client services for the team with an emphasis on Managed Accounts and Estate Processing.

Brenda has more than 35 years of corporate business experience, including 17 years of paralegal work. 

Prior to relocating from Dallas to East Texas in 2002 she served as Director of Corporate Community Relations at Perot Systems for North America and Europe. She obtained her Advanced Certification in Corporate Community Relations from Boston College, Carroll School of Management in 1998.  She was also a member of the 1998 Leadership Dallas Graduating Class.

Outside the office she enjoys spending time with her nephews and their families, working on interior design projects and has become an avid reader.

Kim recently joined our team in 2022, bringing with her 23 years of excellent customer service experience.  Kim worked for Edward Jones Investments in Rusk, Texas for the past ten years and was instrumental in helping the branch. Kim also earned an invitation to attend the Branch Office Administrators' Managing Partner Conference in 2021 which is offered to associates based on the affiliate's internal selection criteria.

Kim is originally from Garrison, Texas and is very excited to be back living and working in the area.  She and her husband, Jay, who is from Nacogdoches; have six children and five grandchildren.

When they are not working or attending grandkids' activities, they enjoy sharing time with family and friends, traveling, spending weekends at Crystal Beach, taking long rides through the contryside on their golf cart, and cheering for the Houston Astros.

Brooks has joined our team as a College Intern.  He is currently studying Agribusiness in the Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture with a General Business Minor.  He has been on the President’s List every semester at Stephen F Austin State University.

Brooks is an Eagle Scout and is involved in the college ministry at Fredonia Hill Baptist Church.  He also played football & baseball in high school at Grace Community High School in Tyler, Texas where he received numerous district & state awards.

After he graduates, Brooks plans on becoming a Financial Advisor.  Brad Bays, with Trinity Capital Management in Tyler, is Brooks father and is our partner and branch manager.

Ginger has been in the financial industry since 1986, many of those years with Merrill Lynch, having held a Series 7 and 66 registrations.  Her three most recent years in our Nacogdoches Branch.

She has now transitioned downstairs to work with Wendy, Claudette and Brenda but will also continue to assist Financial Advisor, Ann Moore.  She looks forward to providing the excellent customer service you have come to know. 

She is originally from Ohio, has two sons and 4 grandchildren in Florida.  She and her late husband, Michael, enjoyed traveling together and seeing The West where they spent much of their 18 years together.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, sewing, music, learning new things and time with friends and family.

With more 40 years in the financial industry, Claudette Chandler has seen the fluctuations the market can experience and weathered mergers, regulatory changes and the growth of the industry. 

Claudette carries the Series 66, 63, 3, 7, 24, 8, & 4 registrations. Claudette also holds the professional designation of Accredited Asset Management Specialist. She feels it is important for both the client and financial professional that she stay informed, keeping abreast of trends and changes as they occur. 

Outside of work Claudette enjoys spending time with family and friends and attending church functions along with her husband Fred. Together Fred and Claudette have a passion for gardening, nature, and antique cars.

Debbie Crenshaw, Client Associate, is our newest team member to join the Buchanan Wealth Management team.  She retired with NISD after teaching 25 years at the secondary level, where she specialized in teaching business and technology skills to her students.  Debbie has 13 years of previous experience as an Adminstrative Office Manager with a local company, and 20 years of supervisory experience in a mangement position in the Children's Ministry division of her church.
Debbie is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Business Adminstration Degree.  She is a member of the Association of American University Women and has previously served in several Vice Presidential positions in the organization.  Debbie received the Educator of the Year award from the American Association of the Chamber of Commerce Education Committee.  She has two children and five grandchildren.

Cole was born and raised in Nacogdoches, Texas. He is the son of Tim and Sharon Badders. He graduated from Nacogdoches High School in 2015 where he played football for four years and was Captain his senior year. He went on to graduate from Stephen F Austin State University in 2018 majoring in Finance with an emphasis in Financial Planning. Cole was a member of the Mast Student Investment Roundtable.

Cole has a personal goal to become a lifelong resource for each and every client by offering a broad portfolio of financial products to include insurance protection and services for high net worth individuals, families, businesses and institutions. He has three years previous experience working for Spectrum Financial in Dallas, Texas.

He is now back home in East Texas where he enjoys outdoor sports - golf, hunting and fishing. He is a member of First United Methodist Church and is active with Rotary Club.

I grew up in Nacogdoches, Texas.  I attended Wells College in upstate New York, came back to Stephen F. Austin where I met Robert Moore. After we married, we moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia where he served in the Navy while I completed my education at Old Dominion University.  I then started my career in the financial services industry with Merrill Lynch in Virginia Beach. Upon Bob’s retirement from the military, we moved back to Nacogdoches with our two children, Joann (Joey) and Robert (Bobby). Once back in Nacogdoches, I interviewed with A. G. Edwards & Sons and was hired on July 1, 1991. I have a Series 7 & 63 registration, my insurance license, and earned my supervisory 9/10 registration as well. I have stayed with my office through buy-outs and changes and now have over 30 years at Wells Fargo & Co and have 40 years in the financial industry.

My father, Dr. William Arscott, has over 61 years of teaching at Stephen F. Austin State University, so I still have a lot of years to catch up with him. My husband, Bob, retired from Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in 2016 after 25 years of service. Our daughter, Joey, is a Librarian. She is married to Andrew Fuller (Drew) and they have two children, Caroline and Scarlett. Our son, Bobby, lives and works in Nacogdoches and has a daughter, Amelia. Joey and Bobby are both Stephen F. Austin State University graduates.
