Debbie is a Client Associate and joined the Buchanan Wealth Management team in June 2024. She retired with NISD after teaching 25 years at the secondary level, where she specialized in teaching business and technology skills to her students. Debbie has 13 years of previous experience as an Administrative Office Manager with a local company, and 20 years of supervisory experience in a management position in the Children’s Ministry division of her church.
Debbie is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. She is a member of the Association of American University Women and has previously served in several Vice Presidential positions in this organization. Debbie received the Educator of the Year award from the American Association of University Women in 2022. She is currently a member of the Chamber of Commerce Education Committee. Debbie has two children and four grandchildren who reside in the Nacogdoches area. In her spare time, Debbie enjoys running, biking, quilting, cooking, and family trips to the beach.
